Language Learning Method
IEP utilises an innovative approach to language acquisition known as the Six Phase Program, stemming from a novel paradigm that emphasizes “growing participation” in a new culture through meaningful interactions between our “nurturers” (teachers) and growing participators, our “students”.
Pre-Departure & Online Learning Program
- Commence studying Indonesian online in your home country before visiting Indonesia or coming for work;
- Get a head-start before you visit Indonesia and be familiar with basic conversation when you arrive;
- Have fun learning in non-traditional ways;
- Focus on communication skills;
- Learn at your own pace with teachers who are patient;
- Flexible study hours and schedules;
- Listening to recordings of new words from your sessions;

- Study anywhere from 2 to 10 hours per week;

Our Programs
IEP Learn Indonesian Language & Dialects: IEP currently focuses specifically on language acquisition, offering courses in English, Indonesian, Sundanese, Wolio, and soon Balinese. IEP’s English programs include courses in General English as well as English for Special Purposes, IELTS and TOEFL preparation,business English, and English for academic writing. IEP also offers special expertise and experience in teaching English within the health service sector, such as needed by doctors, nurses, and hospital administrators.
Other programs being developed by IEP include information technology, training in caring for the elderly, agribusiness, and trade skills training. These programs all aim to improve the employment prospects of our students. IEP continues to offer customised programs to its clients and students in order to maximise their effectiveness in the evolving global environment.
Registration and Learning Schedule
- For those who want to study less than 10 hours per week/not a package/have studied before at IEP, they will be put on a waiting list until the Academic Coordinator can determine the availability of Nurturers. If Nurturers are avaailable or the schedule allows, then classes may start earlier than the time specified above.
- The time gap between periods is imposed to help with student visa processing, scheduling, and Nurturer recruiting if necessary.
- If nurturers are available for possible GP, the class may begin sooner than the prescribed time after the current period's cut-off time.
